Dog Walking

We all have busy lives and fitting in a dog walk when we are juggling work demands and a family can be difficult at times. At BCA, we offer dog walking in 30, 45, 60 and 120 minute slots. Whether you need a regular pre-booked slot or a one off dog walk, we aim to accommodate you. All of the dog walkers at BCA are DBS checked and experienced in dog walking. The safety of your dog is of utmost importance to us so we ensure all dogs are properly exercised, kept safe and returned to you happy and tired. Contact us to take advantage of this reliable and trustworthy service. We offer discounted rates for block bookings.

Pet Feeding

It is important to minimise the stress and discomfort caused by absence. If you are away from home for more than 4 hours, you may want someone you trust to visit your home and let your pets out for a toilet break. In order not to disrupt their routine, you may also want to schedule a pet feed at a certain time. I offer this as a daily, weekly or occasional service.

House Sitting

Not all pets enjoy a visit to the kennel or cattery and some pets such as fish and reptiles are not easily transported! Most pets prefer their home comforts and usual routine. So, if you need to go away on business or are planning a holiday then I am able to offer pet sitting services. I am able to stay with your pet in their own environment for a few hours, the day or overnight depending on your requirements. I can feed and exercise your pet as well as give them strokes and affection. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Puppy Care

Is your puppy chewing everything in sight? Do you have sleepless nights because your puppy is downstairs howling for your attention? Do you always wake up to a puddle on the floor? Do your clean trousers always have puppy prints on them from an over enthusiastic greeting? Do you wish your puppy would not jump up on the furniture? Don’t despair - We can help! At BCA we understand that those first few months of living with your new family member can be both exciting and frustrating and that is why we want to help you.

Bessie is a dear little Patterdale/Lakeland terrier, a rescue dog from Wales. She is very good with people, including children, but is unpredictable with other dogs. I contacted Emily, at Bath Canine Academy, about 8 weeks ago and she arranged a couple of 1-2-1 sessions, so that she could assess the problems. Emily considered Bessie suitable to join the Friday morning class, held on Farmborough Recreation Ground and I am very pleased with the progress that Bessie (and I) have made. The classes are useful but also good fun. As well as obedience-training we do a bit of agility-work. Bessie has now made friends with the dogs in the class and we are working on tactics to distract her from the other dogs, who are running free at the far end of the Rec! Soon after I had adopted Bessie, I began to think that I had made a mistake. Bessie still has some issues, but now, I get up each morning and think how lucky I am!!
